Lance Lewis Neill

September 16, 1980 - March 29, 2024

Lance Lewis Neill, a life-long resident of Stockdale, TX, passed away on March 29, 2024, in Corpus Christi, TX.

Lance is survived by his wife, Robin Lynn Neill; two sons, Lee & Lawson Neill; mother, Susan Bourne Neill; sister, Macie Neill Freabe (Chris), aunt, Janet Neill Jay (Tim); uncle, Marshall Bourne (Donna); uncle, Michael Bourne (Bobbi); Mother in-law, Evelyn Rankin (John); Father -in-law, Robert Perez (Danette); Sister-in-law, Kelly Murray (Sean); nephews, Owen Freabe & Declan Murray. He is predeceased by his father, Richard (Rickey) Neill, paternal grandparents, Melvin & Shirley Neill, & maternal grandparents, Marshall & Elizabeth Bourne.

Lance was born in Raymondville, TX., on September 16, 1980, to Richard (Rickey) and Susan Neill. He graduated from Stockdale High School in 1999, the largest class to ever graduate from Stockdale ISD to date. He went on to further his education at Texas A&M University, where he graduated in 2005, with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Development and was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity (Whoop).

Lance was currently Vice-president & partner of OnPoint Claims Service. Lance & Robin met in College Station, Tx., and on October 23, 2010, Lance married Robin Perez in Bergheim, TX. On October 9, 2012, and August 24, 2015, respectively, he welcomed his two sons, who besides his wife, were the most important part of his life.

Lance was a devoted husband and father. He took the title of father to heart, there was never a football, basketball, or baseball game that he was not in attendance, if possible. He coached CFPO youth football for 4 years, & coached or assisted Stockdale Little League Baseball for 6 years. Lance grew up playing sports throughout his junior high and high school years. Some of his teammates nick-named him “Bone Crusher” in high school because he could, as they would say, put a “whoopin” on someone. He loved the game of baseball, as well, and was often seen on the pitcher’s mound throwing his best. Lance was also well known in the circle of showing of animals for FFA. While growing up, his parents hauled him around the State of Texas showing sheep and pigs where he brought home many buckles and awards. Lee & Lawson have followed in his footsteps and have shown to be just as adept as their father. He was also an avid hunter/fisherman where he taught his sons the art as well.

Lance never knew a stranger, he never had a harsh word to say to anyone, and he was always the life of the party. He had many friends and could always talk to anyone, kindly giving advice where needed, or just encouraging others to be happy. There was always a lot of laughter where Lance was involved. Lance was a Christian man and routinely attended church with his family. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

Visitation and Rosary will be held at Finch Funeral Chapel, Stockdale, on Friday, April 5th from 4PM–7PM with the rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral will be held on Saturday, April 6th at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Stockdale with an interment in the Stockdale Cemetery. Donations can be made to The Rickey Neill Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Josh Heimann, 1494 CR 433, Stockdale, TX 78160.
