Terry Lynn Bradburn 

July 8, 1943 - March 17, 2024 

Terry Lynn Bradburn, a valiant and devoted son of Weleetka, Oklahoma, embarked on his final flight to the heavens on a date that will be etched in the hearts of those he left behind. Born on July 8, 1943, Terry’s roots ran deep into the soil of Liberty, Texas, where he grew to become a man of honor and courage.

His journey at Texas A&M University as part of the Corps of Cadets was not just an academic pursuit but a forge that shaped his character and destiny. It was here that he met his beloved Marybeth, and together they soared into a life of shared dreams and aspirations, marrying on January 29, 1966.

Terry’s service in the US Air Force was marked by valor and distinction. From the skies of Vietnam aboard the C-47 to the strategic roles as a navigator and operations officer on the F-4, he was the embodiment of bravery and excellence. His decorations, including the Meritorious Service Medal and Presidential Unit Citation among others, are a testament to his dedication and sacrifice.

His postings from Mather Air Force Base, Shaw AFB, Sumter AFB, Kadena AFB, Alconbury RAFB, and Fort Hood were chapters of a storied career, each base a witness to his unwavering commitment, retiring at the rank of Major in 1987.

Beyond his military accolades, Terry was a man of diverse passions. His pursuits in genealogy, coin and gun collecting, photography, and gardening were reflections of a life lived with zest and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.

Terry’s generosity and care extended beyond his hobbies; he was a devoted friend, family man, and a supporter of the Texas Aggies as a 42 year football season ticket holder. His K-9 companions, Britt and Sugar, were a source of joy and companionship.

Preceded in death by his parents, Lucile and Cecil Bradburn, and his dear wife, Marybeth. Terry’s spirit lives on through his daughter Kim and her husband Glenn, his grandchildren Taylor and Colby with his wife Emily, and his treasured great-grandchildren Gracelyn and Hudson. His brother Mel, alongside his wife Tommi, his nieces and extended family and friends will carry forward the memories of a life that was truly extraordinary.

In remembrance of Terry Lynn Bradburn, we salute a life of service, a heart of gold, and a spirit indomitable. Rest in peace, noble warrior, for your mission here is complete, but your story will be told for generations to come.

A celebration of life for Terry will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384, with visitation beginning at 10:00am. A processional will follow the service for Interment to be held at Houston National Cemetery at 2pm.
