Luis B. Salazar, Jr. 

September 11, 1954 - December 4, 2023 

Luis Benjamin Salazar, Jr., 69 of San Antonio, Texas passed away on December 4, 2023. He was born in Laredo, Texas on September 11, 1954 to parents Luis B. Salazar, Sr. and Irene Salazar.

Luis attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 1978 with a Degree in Engineering. He worked as a civil & environmental engineer for multiple years. He then attended law school at Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law and graduated in 1990.

Shortly after graduating he opened the Law Office of Luis B. Salazar where he practiced juvenile defense, criminal defense, and family law. He attended Santo Niño Catholic Church of San Antonio for nearly 20 years. Luis also loved cheering for his Aggie football team and spoiling his dogs.

Luis was preceded in death by his parents Luis B. Salazar, Sr. and Irene Salazar, and sister Noemi (Mimi) Gonzales (Bert). Luis is survived by his former spouse Anita H. Salazar, daughter Kristin Baldwin (Joshua), his grandchildren Abigail and Elizabeth Baldwin, and his siblings: Velma Edwards; Gerardo (Jerry) Salazar (Margie); Melinda Pyburn (Steve); Saoul (Sy) Salazar (Viginia); and cousins, nieces, & nephews.

A celebration of Luis’s life will be held on Friday, January 5th, 2024 at 11:00am at Santo Niño Catholic Church in San Antonio.
