April 19, 1950 - December 13, 2023
Robert J. "Bob" Launders passed away December 13, 2023 in Prescott Valley, Arizona.
Bob received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Texas A&M University. He was a walk-on the football field under esteemed coach Gene Stallings, making 3rd string running back. Bob was called to play when the 1st and 2nd string running backs were injured. In his first kick-off return, he ran it back for a touchdown. He was subsequently awarded a full-athletic scholarship for the remaining 3 years, graduating with academic honors in 1972.
He then went on to graduate from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1975. His career as a lawyer was in California and Arizona.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, sister and brother. He is survived by his wife Vicki; and niece Alexandra Madsen.
