Luis C. Martinez 

April 2, 1947 - March 27, 2024 

Luis was born in McAllen, TX, as the eldest child to the late Maria R. and J.A Martinez. He attended both Catholic and public schools in south Texas. Luis demonstrated artistic talent at an early age by winning numerous drawing awards. His musical talent led him to Texas All-State recognition singing bass. As a teenager, Luis designed and constructed a major remodeling of his parents' home.

Luis pursued a degree in architecture and graduated with a bachelor's from Texas A&M University, Class of 1973. While at A&M, he was a member of the Singing Cadets, performing throughout the United States. After graduation he went on to design many homes and buildings around the country.

Luis demonstrated a great generosity of spirit and willingly contributed his talents to his family, friends and the community.

He is survived by his aunt Maria Lidia, children Anya and John, 2 grandchildren, his 5 siblings George (Karen), Sylvia (George), Roger (Jean), Maria Teresa, and Carmen, as well as many cousins, nephews and nieces.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie, MO, on Thursday, April 4th at 10 a.m.
