Helen Keaton '85 April 3, 2024 5:54 PM updated: April 3, 2024 6:04 PM

Helen Wyatt Keaton

February 6, 1962 - February 20, 2024

In loving memory of Helen Wyatt Keaton, who was called to be with the Lord on February 20, 2024, while surrounded by her family.

Helen began her life in Bryan, Texas eventually moving to San Antonio where she graduated from Madison High School. Helen graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station in 1985 and followed her father into the concrete construction business.

After her father retired, she joined Joeris General Contractors in 1994 and retired as Vice President in 2012. After a short retirement, Helen also served as Executive Director of Comal and Judson ISD Facilities departments and formed her own company to assist with school construction projects. Helen was highly active in the construction field serving as the president of the Associated General Contractors San Antonio Branch in 2005.

She remained active with Texas A&M establishing two endowed scholarships and receiving the Outstanding Alumni Award from the College of Architecture in 2010.

Helen was passionate about needlework. She completed courses every summer at the Royal School of Needlework in London in pursuit of a Diploma in Technical Hand Embroidery. She enjoyed meeting like minded friends for needlework events across the country and researching the history of embroidery.

Another passion was decorating at Christmas time, her house would be filled with themed trees for every room of the house, and decorations for the yard. Helen would organize games to be played at family gatherings around the holidays and enjoyed those times the most, because she had more time to spend with her great nephews Dane and Cade.

Helen will truly be missed by many.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents Glenn Moore and Anna Jo Wyatt, her brother Mark Wyatt, and her beloved "Lil Pup" Ali.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years Glenn, sister Glenda (Edward) Hill, brother Sandy Wyatt, nephews Randy (Jolie) Weidemann and Rodney (Adrienne) Weidemann.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 P.M. on April 13, 2024 at Lyons Evangelical Church, 320 Silver Maple, Caldwell, Tx 77836

Memorial Donations may be made in Helen Keaton's name to The Royal School of Needlework.
