Allison Kelt Salazar 

May 8, 1959 - Mar 10, 2024 

Allison Kelt Salazar passed away March 10, 2024 in Richardson, Texas at the age of 64. Allison was born to Fleming and Clara (Jahn) Smith on May 8, 1959 in Sherman, Texas.

Allison married Fernando Salazar on June 14, 1997 in Dallas, Texas. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of First United Methodist Plano. Allison graduated from the University of St. Thomas in Houston for her undergraduate degree, and Texas A&M University for her master’s degree in Psychology. With a heart and compassion for helping others, she spent her career in counseling and behavioral health services. Over the course of her career, she was employed by Collin County MHMR and Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Allison is survived by her husband, Fernando Salazar; children, Daniel and Ruth Salazar; mother, Clara Kelt; uncle, Ray Jahn; cousin, Andrea Olivas, and eight Kelt family cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fleming Smith, and stepfather, George Kelt.

A memorial service to celebrate Allison’s life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Plano, 3160 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas 75074.
