Warren R. Simmons 

October 5, 1936 - December 17, 2023 

Warren R. Simmons passed away peacefully on December 17, 2023 in Montgomery, Texas. Warren was born on October 5, 1936 in Stamford, Texas to Isaac Pryor Simmons and Pauline Rebecca Simmons.

He attended Milby High School in Houston, Texas where he played the clarinet in the marching band and was a member of the R.O.T.C. Warren joined the Navy Reserves in high school and later served 2 years on active duty in the Navy. He graduated from Texas A&M University, Class of 1959, with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. He was employed by and retired from Texaco in Houston after 33 years. Warren’s greatest joy was attending Texas A&M football games with his sons and later his grandsons. He loved to dance and have a good time with his family and friends.

Warren was predeceased by his parents, Isaac Pryor Simmons and Pauline Rebecca Simmons; and son, Jeffrey Warren Simmons.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Vickie Simmons; sons, Craig R. Simmons and wife Kim, and Greg Walley and wife Nikki; brothers, Isaac Simmons, Jr. and wife Kathy Christmann and John Simmons; sister, Judy Simmons-Fikes; grandchildren, Tyler Simmons, Josh Stiles and wife Melanie, and Grey Walley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas with Brent Parker officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery in Eagle Lake, Texas.
