Carl Hyeon C. Kim 

August 25, 1965 - March 26, 2023 

Carl H. Kim, 57, of Colleyville, TX, entered into God’s Kingdom on Sunday, March 26, 2023. He was born August 25, 1965 to Jung Joon and Dok Im Kim.

Carl, a beloved and devoted husband, father, son, brother, and uncle is survived by his mother, Dok Im; his wife, Jung Sun; his three children, Erika, Matthew, and Sarah; his siblings, Ted and wife Helen, and Cindy; his brother-in-law Andre and wife Sarah; and his nieces and nephews, Christine and husband Michael, Fred, Calvin, Kai, and Nara.

Carl moved to Richardson, TX from South Korea in 1985. He attended Texas A&M University and worked as an electrical engineer for over 20 years. After retiring from Verizon in 2016, Carl spent the past 6 years working with his wife at their donut shop, Kountry Donuts. Dependable, gentle, and caring, Carl valued his family and friends more than anything. He was his family’s calming presence and a rock to lean on. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A rosary service will be held at 1:30 PM, with the funeral service immediately following at 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church 1000 Tinker Rd, Colleyville, TX 76034.
