Thomas Felton "Tom" Priestly 

August 26, 1935 - February 17, 2024 

Thomas Felton Priestly, age 88, passed away on February 17, 2024. Thomas was born on August 26, 1935, to Thomas Milton Priestly and Augusta Felton Priestly.

He graduated from Roy Miller High School in 1953 and in 1958, graduated from Texas A&M University College Station where he was in the Corps of Cadets. He enlisted in the U.S. Army from 1959-1961, where he was deployed to Korea. Thomas was a local farmer and rancher and continued to work with his son wherever he could help until he retired.

Thomas enjoyed hunting, traveling, music and most of all spinning a good story with family and friends. He loved to talk about his time as an Aggie Corp member and his love for shooting shotguns. His days on the farm and ranch were the fondest memories he made over the years with his family and friends by his side. He will always be remembered for his passion of all things Ag related, his mischievous nature and his infectious smile.

Thomas was a loving father, father-in-law, and grandfather. Thomas is preceded in death by his father Thomas Milton Priestly and mother Augusta Felton Priestly.

Thomas is survived by his son, Walter Priestly and wife Brandi of Robstown, TX. Daughter Abbe Oden and husband Stephen of Austin, TX. Grandchildren Edwin Stephen Oden III (Chip) of Austin, TX, Mary Margaret Oden of Washington, D.C., Luke Wade Priestly and Myles Thomas Priestly of Robstown, TX.

Graveside service will be held at RoseHill Cemetery February 23, 2024 at 2:30pm followed by a celebration of life at the home of Brandi & Walter Priestly.

A special thank you to the amazing nurses at Brookdale who made each day a little more exciting with their unwavering love and joy for what they do.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shriner Children’s Hospital at donate.lovetotherescue.org or to an organization of choice.
