Danny Keith Jones

June 9, 1964 - January 25, 2024

Danny ‘Keith’ Jones, 59, passed away peacefully on Thursday January 25, 2024 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

Keith was born and raised in Houston, Texas. A proud Houstonian, he graduated from Aldine Senior High School in 1982. Though he only attended Texas A&M for a short time, he was a true Aggie fan, second only to his Cowboys. Keith was drawn to ministry and served as a youth pastor and music minister for several years before beginning his career in the Title industry. After becoming a Closing Officer, he made the switch to IT where he completed his career. He worked for Fidelity National Financial for over 25 years. Keith was forced to stop working in August of 2019 due to early onset Alzheimer’s disease. In 2021 he moved with his family to Ardmore, Oklahoma. We were blessed to be able to care for Keith at home until the last few weeks of his life when he had to move into a care home. Woodview Nursing Home and Elara Hospice showed great care and compassion for Keith and our family.

Keith was hardworking, thoughtful, patient, and kind. Keith’s heart for serving was seen not only through the church, but also in the many hours he spent volunteering as an EMT at Cypress Creek EMS. Keith had a great sense of humor, couldn’t resist a bit of mischief, and loved making us all laugh. He was our gentle giant. He was a doting son and caring brother. Of all his achievements, the greatest was that of being a loving husband and fabulous father. He loved his children so much.

Keith was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Jones and his father-in-law, John Paull. He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Jenni; his sons, John, Brandon, and Nathan; and his daughter, Katelyn. He is also survived by his mother, Linda; his sister, Vicki; his mother-in-law, Brenda; his sister-in-law, Jayne and her husband, Jim; and his sister-in-law, Jackie and her husband Ray; along with many adored nieces and nephews, other loving family and many dear friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 3, at Copperfield Church, 8350 Hwy 6 North, Houston, TX 77095. Refreshments will be served for those who wish to stay after the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association in Keith’s name: https://act.alz.org/site/TR/Events/Tributes-AlzheimersChampions?pg=fund&fr_id=1060&pxfid=859720
