Matthew Corey Kreiss 

June 18, 1998 - January 14, 2024 

Matthew Corey Kreiss, age 25, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024 surrounded by his wife and family.

Matthew Kreiss was born in Dallas, TX on June 18th. He attended Richardson High School and went on to further his education at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. While attending Texas A&M University he was a member of the Corps of Cadets where he was a member of Company F-1 and the Parsons Mounted Cavalry. He graduated in the spring of 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Construction Science and he worked his way to become a Senior Project Engineer at Cadence McShane Construction Company. During his time at Texas A&M, Matthew also met the love of his life, Moira (Salinas) Kreiss. They got married in November of 2023 and began to build their life. Together they had three dogs Tripp, Tucker, and Beau and lived Matthew’s dream of living on 80 acres of land.

Matthew grew up to be an amazing man and lived life to the fullest. Everyone knows Matthew to be a very strong, smart, reliable, outdoorsy person. He loved to spend as much time outdoors hunting ducks, fishing, and playing with his three dogs. He has a beautiful soul that loved so deeply. He treated his friends like family, cared for his family, in-laws, and nieces, and he loved Moira with his whole heart. Matthew will be greatly missed by his wife, family, and friends.

Matthew is survived by his wife Moira Kreiss; parents Corey (father) and Danielle Kreiss (stepmother), Kellie (mother) and Tarek Demachkie (stepfather); Sorcha Kreiss (sister); Sherry and Tom Rabinek (grandparents); and his three dogs Tripp, Tucker, and Beau.

Matthew’s services will be held on February 10th, 2024, with a visitation at 1pm and memorial service at 2pm at McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart, TX.
