Austin Bennett Alexander 

February 8, 1987 - February 1, 2024 

Austin Bennett Alexander, 36, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on February 1, 2024. He was born on February 8, 1987, in Dallas, Texas. Austin, a beloved son, brother, and friend, was the guy who added extra sparkle to the Lone Star State.

Austin's vibrant spirit was a beacon of joy and laughter, lighting up any room like the industrial cabling supplies he so skillfully sold at SAB Cable. His career was electric, and he connected with clients and colleagues alike, powering through sales with the energy of a live wire.

In his educational journey, Austin attended the June Shelton School for high school where he served as football captain amongst many other accomplishments. Also, an Eagle Scout, Austin not only learned to tie knots but also to untangle any frown and flip it upside down. He then went on to pursue higher education at Texas A&M University where he received his Bachelor of Science specializing in poultry science. His college fraternity brothers at Sigma Alpha Epsilon fondly knew him as “Beans” where he served as the Philanthropy Chair and Chili Fest judge. He continued his education at the University of Texas, Arlington and obtained his MBA in International Business.

Austin was a bit of a foodie, always on the hunt for a new restaurant or new dish to try. He was a great cook, adding his special touch to pot roast, chili, chicken enchiladas and his specialty, deviled eggs. He always had a secret ingredient.

Austin’s final curtain call was unexpected, but he leaves behind a legacy of laughter and love. He is survived by his parents, Barbara and Steve Bradley, his sister Aimee Harwood, her husband Chris, and their children Knox and Quinn, his brother, Zack Alexander, his life partner, Katya Johnson, Aunt, Carol Zastoupil and Uncle, William C. Slocum III. He is preceded in death by his father, Greg Alexander.

Austin had a constant cat companion as he worked and slept named Mr. Whiskers aka “MW” as well as his pup, Kitana. Additionally, he was president of his cat club during his time at Texas A&M. Let's honor a life well-lived with a smile, knowing that Austin's legacy will continue to be as uplifting as his spirit was on earth and think of him with a smile, as he’s probably orchestrating the most heavenly shindig to date and practicing his amazing dance moves.

The celebration of Austin's extraordinary life will be held at Restland Funeral Home at 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243, on February 24, 2024, at 2:00 pm. The family invites you to join in commemorating his life and requests that you wear blue in honor of Austin’s favorite color. A reception will follow.
