Logan K. Jones

September 1, 2001 - November 4, 2023

Logan Jones, 22, College Station, Texas, our beloved son, brother, and grandson passed from this life on November 4, 2023 in Albuquerque, NM. A senior at Texas A&M University, Logan was doing an Internship in Urban Planning in Albuquerque at the time of his passing.

Logan had many interests, but he loved the mountains the most. He was interested in conservation wanted to make sure that the amazing American landscapes, particularly in the West, were preserved for future generations to enjoy. He was hoping that through his study at A&M, that he could make a difference in ensuring that future generations would be able to appreciate the majesty of the towering peaks of the Rocky Mountains. In the summer after his freshman year, he spent the summer at Rocky Mountain National Park and hiked several of the mountains there. It was an experience that changed his life. From then on, he was focused on finding a way to live and work, and ultimately preserve the beauty of the Rocky Mountains.

Logan was also very active in his church in Bryan, Texas. He left many friends at the Fellowship Church. His love of God was evident in everything he did. He had a servant's heart. Whether it was taking up for someone who was being bullied, praying with someone in crisis, or simply opening the door for his friends and asking them to go first and going in last, Logan showed the love of Christ in everything he did.

Logan loved being an Aggie and brought the Aggie culture to his co-workers in Albuquerque. While not everyone he worked with understood completely what it meant to be an Aggie, he lived the Aggie core values of excellence, integrity, leadership, loyalty, respect, and selfless service. That legacy will live on with his Albuquerque co-workers. He earned his Aggie ring in September and was proud to show it off to anyone who might be remotely interested.

To honor Logan's memory, please consider a donation in Logan's name to Rocky Mountain Conservancy: https://rmconservancy.org/join-or-give/donate/

Logan will be honored at Silver Taps, February 6th, Academic Plaza, Texas A&M campus and at Aggie Muster April 21, 2024.
