Michael John Thomason 

November 21, 1969 - December 27, 2023 

A memorial/visitation service for Michael John Thomason, 54, is scheduled for 1p.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville with family and friends.

He was born on November 21, 1969 to John and Faye Thomason in Jacksonville, Texas where he lived until age 10. After that most of his life was spent in the Dallas and Plano, Texas areas.

Michael graduated from Plano East Sr High in 1987 and later from Texas A&M University in 1991 with a degree in Environmental Design. Most of his working career was with the Half Price Bookstore chain headquarters where he served as Vice President for the Information Technology division, he was highly esteemed by his coworkers.

Michael passed away December 27, 2023 in Dallas after a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Rachel, daughter Vivian Marie of Dallas, brother, Bryan Paul Thomason and wife Tricia of Lufkin, niece Daisy Thomason of Troup and parents John and Faye Thomason of Jacksonville. He also leaves behind a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.
