Donald Patrick "Pat" McGuyer 

October 11, 1949 - November 9, 2023 

Pat went on to meet the Lord on November 9, 2023 at the age of 74. He was born in Bryan, Texas on October 11, 1949 to David and Helen McGuyer.

Pat graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He was a very proud Aggie. He enjoyed a long career in the hospitality industry. He retired after many years with Homewood Suites in San Antonio. He served the Lord at University Baptist Church in the children’s department and men’s ministry. He was a member of Oak Hills Rotary Club and enjoyed volunteering and serving the community.

He is preceded in death by his father David McGuyer, mother Helen McGuyer and first wife Jacqueline McGuyer. He is survived by his brother Michael McGuyer and wife Mary Denton McGuyer. He is also survived by daughter Dawn Doswell, Kym Kennedy and Kristin Sheppard as well as many grand and great grand children that he cherished deeply.

Pat was a faithful husband, loving father, grandfather and friend to many. He will be dearly missed by all. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at 2 p.m. at University Baptist Church at 6465 Babcock Road in San Antonio Texas. A small reception to follow. The family requests donations be made to the American Kidney Foundation. No flowers please.
