Christopher Peter Mayo

September 4, 1968 - October 9, 2023

Christopher Peter Mayo, age 55, of San Antonio, Texas passed away from natural causes on October 9, 2023.

Christopher was the dear father of Brenna, Claire, Hattie and Stella Mayo, and grandfather of Liam Thorman. He was the beloved son of Paul and Vita Mayo. Christopher will be lovingly remembered by his 4 siblings: George (Dawn) Mayo, Arlana Mayo, Arthur (Charlotte) Mayo, Jennie (Michael) Villa. He will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews: Lauren (Ryan) Philpott, Marshall Mayo, Kaitlyn Mayo, Jack Villa, Teddy Villa, William Villa, and Arthur Mayo III.

Christopher was greatly loved by his aunts: Olga Kouchoukos, Lucille Davila, Paulette Goodman, and the late Linda Hermann. He will be fondly remembered by his many cousins and friends.

A special thank you to Dr. Joey and Mistie Boyle for their love and support.

Christopher grew up in San Antonio, and loved being a part of a large family. He loved reading, and collecting items with historical significance, including antiques. He graduated in 1992 from Texas A&M University, College Station, with a Bachelor of Arts in History. During college, he was an active member of the Corps of Cadets and loved the camaraderie of being an Aggie. Christopher continued his love of education and earned his Juris Doctorate from Saint Mary’s University School of Law in 1996. He practiced law for 27 years.

Christopher loved animals, especially his dog Maggie. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed working in the yard. When his daughters were in elementary school, you could find Christopher spending his extra time coaching their soccer teams. He had a zest for life and was very passionate about everything he did. Christopher had a great sense of humor. He loved to laugh and tried to make others laugh by doing impressions and telling funny stories.

Christopher was a genuine and caring man, and he will be greatly missed.
