LeeAnn Moore

June 11, 1961 - August 11, 2023

LeeAnn Moore, age 62, gained her wings and entered Heaven’s gates on August 11, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas.

LeeAnn was known for her loyalty, being quick-witted and her thoughtfulness. She cared deeply for those around her, but especially for her family. Her children and grandchildren were her world and she always put them first. In return, her children and grandchildren adored her and are so thankful for the compassion and loyalty she taught them and for having the mindset to “always fight for what you believe in”.

She was born to Donald Lee Moore and Ann Hickerson Moore on June 11, 1961, in Puerto Rico, where her parents were stationed for the Air Force. Due to her father’s service in the Air Force as a Brigadier General, she also lived in Texas, Italy, Germany and Alabama. After graduating high school, she began her college education and enrolled at Texas A&M University where she graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance in 1983; Gig ‘Em!

Old Mystery TV shows, such as Murder, She Wrote and Matlock, animals, reading, and all things Texas A&M were some of LeeAnn’s favorite things. She also loved being a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority while attending A&M and was so excited when Rachel, her daughter, joined the same sisterhood last year. LeeAnn loved all holidays because it meant family was getting together; Christmas was the one she looked forward to and enjoyed the most. She was passionate about Christmas decorations and was an avid collector of Waterford ornaments.

LeeAnn was a proud member of the Presbyterian church, Houston Rodeo Livestock committee and Junior League, an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership and develop the potential of women. She was also highly involved in PTA for both of her children; she ran the Gala, auctions and acted as a treasurer for many years across different schools.

As we reflect and think about all the wonderful memories shared, LeeAnn made it known that some of her favorite days included the birth of her two children and her grandbaby, the wedding of her son, Michael and finding out that her daughter was a girl! Her favorite traditions were Christmases at her grandmother Bill’s house and the 4th of July at her Uncle Dick and Aunt Alice’s house.

LeeAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Ann Moore and all her grandparents.

She is survived by her son, Michael Lee Roebuck and daughter-in-law, Julia Guarino; her daughter, Rachel Maria Moore; her grandson, Shay Michael Roebuck; her dog, Elvis and her cat Ivy, aka Kitty. LeeAnn will be deeply missed by all those that she has left behind. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.
