Burton LeRoy Young, 89 of Lafayette passed away on May 11, 2023 in a local hospital.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Colligan Crematory and Funeral Services, 121 Park Center St. Broussard, La. 70518 on Saturday May 20, 2023 at 11:00 A.M.. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday.
Burton was born on January 6, 1934 in Dalhart Tx to Nina and Murlin Young. He was a Geologist and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Burton is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife Emma R. Young of Lafayette; son, Dwight Young of Lafayette; daughters, Maria Ebonita Gerami and husband Josh of Lafayette, Menchu Palmes of Lafayette, Maria Leonezarie Grieger and husband Jason of Lafayette, Jessel Price and husband Thomas of Lafayette. Grandchildren; Alexandra and James "JJ" Price, Gabriella Emma Grieger, Enzo Gerami and a expected baby girl Gerami.
