Darrell David Williamson 
September 10, 1970 — May 14, 2022

Darrell David Williamson, 51 of Dumas, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022. Memorial services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with DeWayne Gion officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Darrell was born on September 10, 1970 in Amarillo, TX. He grew up in Lubbock where he graduated from Monterrey High School.

After graduation, he married Shelly Wells in Amarillo, TX on June 12, 1993 and together the couple attended Texas A & M and where they both graduated. Darrell loved to cook for his family and was famous for his lasagna and his smoked chicken. He also loved watching the Denver Broncos and the Texas A & M Aggies play football. Darrell had recently moved back to Dumas to be close to his grandchildren that he adored.

He was preceded in death by his wife Shelly in 2017.

Darrell is survived by his daughter, Madison Mendez and husband Derek of Dumas, TX; grandchildren: Hayden and Olivia; his parents: Joe and Janet Williamson of Amarillo, Tx and his brother Kevin Williamson and wife Christine of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and extended family members.

The family suggests with gratitude that memorials be made to the donor’s charity of choice.
