Walter Bert Littlejohn, Jr.

October 25, 1928 - August 2, 2022

Retired USAF Lt. Col. Walter Bert Littlejohn, Jr. of Allen, Texas passed away on August 2, 2022, in McKinney, Texas at the age of 93. He was born in Dallas, Texas on October 25, 1928 to the late Walter Bert, Sr. and Bessie Mae (Rowden) Littlejohn.

He attended Texas A & M University graduating with a degree in Business Administration in 1951. Walter married Yolanda Payne on February 17, 1952 and enjoyed 53 beautiful years until her death November 12, 2005. After marrying Yolanda, Walter proudly joined the Air Force in October of 1952 earning the rank of Lieutenant Colonel before his retirement in 1972.

After his Air Force career, Walter went on to the University of Texas, in Dallas to receive his MBA in Interdisciplinary Arts in 1980. Walter had many hobbies. He wrote books, painted, made jewelry and furniture, he loved to create. Walter was also an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting, and golfing and taking his family on camping trips.

Walter is survived by his four daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca LittleJohn and Paul Rotterdam of North Blenheim, New York, Terry and John Bogard of Jonah, Texas, Cindy and Bill Davidson of, Lucas, Texas, and Debby and Bill Perman of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Jason Dejnozka, Adrian Lee, Rachel Johnson, Kyle Perman, Chelsea Davidson, Jacob Davidson and Ty Perman; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Turrentine-Jackson Morrow Funeral Chapel in Allen, Texas. Inurnment is to follow at the Dallas/Ft. Wort National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2022.
