William Michael Hutchison
January 22, 1946 – November 28, 2022

William Michael "Mike" Hutchison of Austin, Texas passed away Monday, November 28, 2022 at Baylor Scott and White Hospital. He was 76. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Dian Barclay Hutchison, daughter, Lisa Hutchison Youngblood and husband Wes Youngblood, son Randy Hutchison and his wife Megan Hutchison, grandchildren Lauren Youngblood Milvenan, Natalie Youngblood, Caroline Hutchison, Will Hutchison, and Emily Louise Hutchison. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Roland Hutchison and Ruth Bowcock Hutchison.

Mike was born January 22nd, 1946 in Corbin, Kentucky. He was born into a military family who moved around frequently. He was in England for his elementary years, College Station for his middle school years (where his love for Texas A&M started) and he spent his high school years in California. After high school graduation, Mike left California to attend Texas A&M University. He was in the Texas A & M Corps of Cadets for 2 years. In 1968, he graduated with an Architectural Engineering degree from Texas A&M University and married the love of his life, Dian.

After graduation, Mike worked for Ceco Corporation in San Antonio, Texas for 19 years. In 1988 he started his own commercial doors and frame company, Hutchison Supply Company. He retired in 2001. Mike was a fighter. He fought rheumatoid arthritis for 50 years and 2 bouts with non-hodgkin's lymphoma. Mike will be remembered for his love for his family, his dry sense of humor, his famous root beer floats, and his love for the Texas Aggies.

A funeral will be held at Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church Saturday, January 14th at 10:30am with a reception to follow.

The family would like to thank the staff at Baylor Scott and White Rehabilitation for taking such good care of him.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Arthritis Foundation or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
