David Neil Belknap
February 1, 1959 - July 7, 2022

David Neil Belknap, 63 of Lewisville, TX died peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, July 7, 2022.

He was born in Topeka, Kansas to 1st Lieutenant Dennis Jerome Belknap and Maurine Faye Fast Belknap on February 1, 1959. He grew up in a military family along with his brother, John, and they lived in nine states before settling in Texas.

He graduated from Southwest High School in Fort Worth in 1977 and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University in College Station in 1982.

He married Camille Herreman on May 26, 1996.

David’s chosen field was the structural steel industry and he worked with several different companies during his 35 year career.

A happy, gregarious man with a magnetic personality, he loved to joke and play tricks on people and make them laugh. However, his greatest passion was researching and teaching the Bible to adults for the past 25 years. He had many, many friends and will be greatly missed.

David was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Belknap. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Camille Belknap; his two sons, Jacob Belknap of Lake Isabella, California and Joshua Belknap of Lewisville; his mother Maurine Belknap of Fort Worth; his brother John Belknap (Cindy) of Fort Worth; and niece Marisa Frear of Seattle, Washington.

A memorial service is planned for Friday, July 22nd at 11:00am at RockPointe Church Central Campus, 4503 Cross Timbers Road in Flower Mound. In lieu of flowers, David’s desire was for donations to be made to the Missions Fund at RockPointe. Go to rpc.fm/give and select Missions Fund.
