Millicent Roane Yount
June 2, 1958 - December 15, 2022

Millicent Roane Yount, 64, of Willis, Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022, surrounded by her family at their residence. She is survived by her devoted husband, Paul, of 43 years; her son David, of San Francisco, CA and her daughter, Sarah, of Willis, TX.

Born June 2, 1958, in Dallas, Texas to U.S. "Sandy" Roane, Jr. and Mary Ann Roane. Millicent grew up in Jasper, Texas and after graduating high school, attended Texas A&M University where she met her future husband in freshman English class. Millicent and Paul married in May, 1979 and Millicent graduated in December 1979 with a degree in Marketing.

Millicent and Paul moved to Houston in 1982 where Millicent worked for Anco Insurance. In 1985, Millicent switched careers to become a stay-at-home mom. From that point forward Millicent's focus was on raising and caring for her family. She homeschooled the kids until they graduated high school and went to college. The most important thing in her life was her relationship with Jesus. She was an active member of Koinonia Church and was involved in Bible Study Fellowship for numerous years. She also served in the ministries of The Walk to Emmaus and Tres Dias for over 30 years.

Millicent was a true friend and touched many lives through her various activities and desire to serve others. She is dearly remembered for her caring attitude which was evident by her desire to listen and remember the needs and concerns of others. She will also be greatly missed for her sense of humor and no-nonsense wisdom. Millicent loved to travel and see the beauty that God created, particularly in the mountains of Colorado. She also enjoyed seeing and experiencing new places and meeting new people. She fought the good fight of faith (in Christ) and has taken hold of the eternal life to which she was called. (1 Timothy 6:12)

Millicent is preceded in death by her parents, U.S. "Sandy" Roane, Jr. and Mary Ann Hunt Roane Powell; grandparents, Homer Hunt and Mary Kay Hunt; and U.S. Roane, Sr. and Louise Roane; step father, Charlie Powell.

Millicent is survived by her husband, Paul of Willis; her son, David of San Francisco; her daughter, Sarah of Willis; brother, Stuart Roane; nephew, Hampton Roane; mother in law, Jean Yount; sister in law, Paula Ritter; nieces, Heather Caldwell and Courtney Caldwell; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
