Robert "Bob" Curtis Clark
November 2, 1938 - July 29, 2022

Robert Curtis Clark was born November 2, 1938 in Longview, Texas to John Curtis Clark and Rose Mary Knighten Clark. They made their home in Marshall, Texas where Bob made long-lasting friendships, was a star football player, #21 for the Marshall Mavericks, and worked alongside his dad at Clark Aircraft.

Bob graduated from Texas A&M University in 1962 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He was a member of the Corp of Cadets and upon graduation entered into the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force, he received his master’s degree from the University of Pittsburg in 1966. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service, but continued working as a federal employee with the Environmental Protection Agency until his retirement in 2002.

Bob married Pamela Eason on July 23, 1977 and they celebrated 45 beautiful years together. They settled down in the Lake Highlands community and had two amazing children - Stephanie and Brad. In 1980 they joined Lake Highlands UMC. Bob was a founding member of First Day Sunday School Class and the Older Men’s Bible study. In addition to his study of scripture, Bob served on several church committees. One of his most beloved experiences was serving with the Outreach Ministry, providing bread each Sunday for Audelia Manor Fellowship. Everyone who saw him was blessed by his kind smile and love for life.

Bob and Pamela lovingly welcomed Joy into the family in 2009. The following year, son-in-law Eric and daughter-in-law Mindy were added. Bob’s legacy will live on through his grandsons—Christian & Caleb Cassidy and Mason & Carter Clark.

Bob was an expert lawn caretaker, enjoyed watching TV in his man-cave, attended all LH sporting events and was an avid golfer! He was a devoted husband making it possible for Pamela to fulfill her call to ministry, a committed father teaching his children discipline, order, and high moral values, and a fun Paw Paw to his 4 grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

Memorial Service for Robert "Bob" Curtis Clark will be Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Lake Highlands UMC.
