Jaime Beth Marrs
December 11, 1979 – August 13, 2022

Jaime “Diggy” Beth Marrs, 42, of Humble, Texas passed away on August 13, 2022 from an excess of awesomeness. Just kidding, it was cancer, but hey that sounded a hell of a lot cooler.

Join us for a Celebration of Jaime’s life on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 4:00pm at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Hwy 59 N., Kingwood, Texas. Please wear your Aggie best or just come dressed in maroon and white (if you cheer for one of those other teams) to honor Jaime in true Aggie-style. Following the service, we will informally gather at Back Pew Brewing, 26452 Sorters McClellan Rd, Porter, Texas to continue the celebration of Jaime’s life.

She was born on December 11, 1979 in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia to parents, Kenneth Ray Marrs and Randy Jo (Resch) Marrs.

Jaime spent her childhood in Atascocita, Texas and later moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She attended the school formerly known as Bishop Sullivan High School where she played volleyball, swam and enjoyed an active social life. After graduation she returned to Texas to attend college. She was a proud member of the fighting Texas Aggie class of ’02, receiving her degree in Environmental Design with a minor in business.

After college she had a successful career in Architecture and Project Management. Jaime never missed a “napportunity” or a chance to remind you that while it wasn’t a competition, she was probably still winning. She passionately enjoyed Aggie football and had a soft spot for her three cats. She loved traveling and spending time with friends and family. Among Jaime’s biggest accomplishments were dunking her Aggie ring in 89 seconds and raising her amazing daughter Faith.

Jaime had a magnetic energy that drew people to her, and many people thought of her fondly as their “best friend.” She will be remembered for her amazing sense of humor and her knack for telling it like it is. Jaime never wanted to focus on her battle with cancer but instead challenge us to live life to the fullest because tomorrow is never promised. An amazing mother, daughter, sister and friend, we will honor her life by keeping her spirit alive and always treasure the memories she gifted us.

Jaime is survived by her daughter, Faith Marrs, of Humble; father, Kenneth Marrs, of Humble; brother, Jarrod (Nicole) Marrs, of Houston; brother, Jon (Jennie) Marrs of Kingwood; sister, Jessica (Austin) Schneider, of Humble; six nieces and four nephews and her three beloved cats Maxine, George and Pip. She is preceded in death by her mother, Randy Marrs, of Humble.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Jaime’s name to Metavivor, a charity working to raise awareness, fund research and extend the lives of those battling metastatic Stage IV breast cancer: https://www.metavivor.org/take-action/donate/

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.kingwoodfuneralhome.com for the Marrs family.
