Peter Paul Skripka
November 18, 1918 – January 27, 2022

Peter Paul “Pete” Skripka, 103, of Pasadena Texas, passed away on January 27, 2022.

He was born on November 18, 1918 in Wallis, Texas to Frank Skripka and Helen (Zak) Skripka. He had four older brothers Joe, Jerry, Walter, Charlie, and three older sisters, Angela, Helen, Mary, and two younger sisters Julia, and Gertrude (Trudy). In 1919 the family moved to a farm three miles south of Rosenberg to raise cotton and children. He graduated from Rosenberg High School in 1937. Following two of his brothers Walter and Charlie he headed off to Texas A&M, then in 1941 the Army and his Country needed him. He was always humble and would tell you he never saw combat. In 1945 after WWII ended he went back to A&M to finish his degree and graduated in 1947. He found a job at Crown Central Petroleum in Pasadena Texas and worked there for 34 years.

In 1951 he married Anne and they were married for 61 years. Peter was a true “family man” and embraced his Catholic faith. Anne and Peter joined Saint Pius V Church in 1954 and sent all three sons there. He volunteered for many years as an usher and loved to greet people and tell them good-bye after Mass.

He is preceded in death by his wife Anne, and son Paul, father and mother, and all brothers and sisters. He is survived by sons John Blanchard (Paula), James Skripka (Linda).Grandchildren: Pammy Bonds (Gary Peden), Phillip Blanchard (Holly), Steven Skripka (Tracy), Kevin Skripka (Mayela). Great-Grandchildren: Lily, Skyleigh, Marceline, Liam, Zachary, Emma, Marissa, Madison and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Elvira, Carmelita, Beatrice, Yolanda, and staff of New Life Hospice for their kindness and care. Family suggest that memorials be made to Saint Pius V Catholic Church, 824 Main St. Pasadena TX 77506. Serving as pallbearers are James Skripka, Steven Skripka, Kevin Skripka, Zachary Skripka, John Blanchard and Phillip Blanchard.
