Laura Kathleen Tribble El-Deir

February 10, 1964 - June 3, 2022

Our sweet Laura Kathleen Tribble El-Deir passed away on June 3, 2022 while surrounded by family following her battle with cancer. She was 58 years old.

Laura was born in Seattle, Washington to Carolyn Sue Tribble Klein and Frank Joseph Tribble, and she lived most of her life in the Austin area. Laura graduated from Lanier High School in 1982 and then from Texas A&M University 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture. Her love of plants and the environment took her on a thirteen-year adventure to Fort Lauderdale where she learned her trade and started her first business. After returning to Texas, Laura built and ran multiple horticulture design businesses in the Round Rock-area and this remained her professional passion throughout her life.

Laura played many roles during her life. She was a dutiful daughter, a Future Farmer of America (raised a prize-winning pig), a supportive parent, a loyal Christian, a successful business owner, a fervent American, and a great friend. She most cherished spending time with her family and friends and sharing her unique view of the world.

Laura was preceded in death by her father, Frank Joseph Tribble in 1978. She is survived by her beloved three children, Grant Joseph Tribble El-Deir (21), Garrett Louis Tribble El-Deir (18), Grace Kathleen Tribble El-Deir (13); mother, Carolyn Sue Klein and husband Howard; sister, Ashley Anne VanHuysen and husband Paul; and their three children, Townes Timothy VanHuysen, Hadley Sue VanHuysen and Magnolia Burke VanHuysen, who knew her as Aunt LaLa. She spent as much time as possible with her kids forging deep individual relationships, and even worked as a substitute teacher at their school. Laura valued her family and viewed the raising of her children as her greatest defining achievement.

There will be a Celebration of Life to honor Laura held at First United Methodist Church 1004 N. Mays St., Round Rock TX, 78664 on Saturday June 18, 2022 at 10:30 AM. This will be a joint service held at First United Methodist and presided over by a pastor from Celebration Church in Round Rock. All are invited to a lunch reception immediately following the celebration. If you are able to join us, the family requests that you bring a living plant or flowers to the service. Our hope is to bring Laura's love for nature into the service!

The family would like to thank all the many friends, relatives and medical professionals that supported and cared for Laura so generously this past year.
