Christine Ann Wallace
February 13, 1955 - April 5, 2022

Christine Ann Wallace, formerly Christine Ann O'Sullivan, 67, of Fort Worth, passed away after a long battle with cancer.

She was born to William and Louise O’Sullivan, February 13, 1955 in Syracuse, N.Y. Christine spent her childhood in Tyler, Texas. She later attended Tyler Junior College, and continued her education at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas where she met her husband, Dr. Ralph Perry Wallace. After teaching Science at Nolan High School in Fort Worth, Texas from 1978-81, Christine focused all of her attention on being an exceptional wife and mother to their four wonderful children.

Family was Christine’s greatest joy. Whether it was being the classroom “Mom”, booster club member or attending every sporting event she gave all of her energy to her family. She extended this love to her friends, sons and daughters-in-law, her children’s friends and more with the same passion, making sure that everyone knew they were included.

Christine was a natural caretaker. She loved cooking (especially for company), gardening, and making crafts for her kids. She was a needlepoint extraordinaire, hand-making personalized Christmas stockings for her ever-growing family. She also hosted “Camp Cece” for her grandchildren every summer where she took them fishing, shopping and taught them games like Chickenfoot and 42. Christine also loved spending time with her friends playing Mah Jongg and serving with them in the P.E.O. Sisterhood, providing opportunities for female students worldwide.

Christine was fearless. She traveled the world, dove with sharks and stingrays and most recently flew in a hot air balloon. She was also brave in the face of sickness, heroically battling pancreatic cancer for over 12 years, breaking medical records along the way. She faced her illness until the very end and it surely did not win.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband of more than 35 years, Dr. Ralph Perry Wallace; her parents, Deacon William H. and Louise Marie O’Sullivan; and her brother, Patrick O’Sullivan.

She is survived by daughter, Blair Elizabeth Reed and husband, Adam Ryan Reed; her son, Gavin Perry Wallace and wife, Chandler Cash Wallace; son, Rane Perry Wallace and wife, Sara Ann Wallace; daughter, Paige Elizabeth Mugartegui and husband, Waylon Keiji Mugartegui. She has six grandchildren, Grayson Ryan and Bailey Elisabeth Reed, Jack Perry and Henry Peter Wallace and Waverly Ann and Leighton Adair Mugartegui.

Christine is also survived by her parents-in-law, Dr. Ralph and Lynn Wallace of Temple, Texas; brother, John O’Sullivan and wife, Deborah; brother, Michael and wife Debbie; brother, Bill O’Sullivan, Jr. and wife, Terri.

A memorial service will be held for Christine at 11 AM, Thursday April 14 at First United Methodist Church in Fort Worth. Reception to follow at Colonial Country Club. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made in her honor to Moncrief Cancer Institute, 400 W. Magnolia Ave. 76104, or online at https://engage.utsouthwestern.edu/donate_MCI
