Ramon Trujillo, Sr.
July 5th, 1953 - May 3rd, 2022

Ramon Trujillo Sr., 68, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Visitation will be Monday, May 9, 2022 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Military flag presentation will begin at 6:00pm.

Ramon was born on July 5, 1953 in Douglas, Az. He lived in Benson, AZ until he enlisted in the United States Army in 1971. He was assigned to Company A 75th Infantry (Ranger) 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, TX. He went to Airborne and Parachute Rigger School. He received multiple degrees from T.S.T.C. and MCC. He earned an automotive degree from T.S.T.I. and he was a master mechanic. He obtained his teaching degree from Texas A&M and taught Automotive at Waco High School for over 20 years until his retirement in 2003. After retirement, he pursued his dream and became an owner operator truck driver. He received his last college degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology at the age of 59.

Ramon enjoyed working on cars, hunting, fishing, racing cars, and anything outdoors. He was a jack of all trades, there was nothing he couldn’t fix. He loved action and western movies. He was an avid Amazon shopper. Most of all, he lived every day for his family. He loved his family with all his heart.

Ramon was preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia Trujillo; his mother, Enedina Gamez; his father, Carl Tinsley; and his father-in-law, Dan Espinosa Sr.

Left to treasure Ramon’s memory is his loving longtime companion, Essie Johnson;
mother-in-law, Hope Espinosa; children, Steven Trujillo and wife Amanda, Jeffrey Trujillo and wife Emily, Misty Rodriguez and husband Jason, Ramon Trujillo Jr. and Alicia, Stephanie Angel and husband Juan, Cheryl Johnson and Daniel; grandchildren, Cheyenne Trujillo, Michael Bonilla Sr., Hayden Trujillo, Christiana Trujillo, Hunter Trujillo, Emiliana Trujillo, Jessi Rae Rodriguez, Selestiana Trujillo, and Giana Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Kennadee, TaizLee, Michael Jr. (MJ), and Ryker; siblings, Dora McCook and husband George Marsden, Gloria Williams and husband Garry, Danny Tinsley and wife Patricia, Bernie Gamez Jr, Ralph Gamez and wife Jennifer, Robert Tinsley and wife Monica, David Tinsley and wife Gerrie, Evelyn and Ibetheny Tinsley; brothers-in-law Frank Gonzales, Dan Espinosa Jr. and wife Lupe, Nino Barello and wife Damaris, Leslie McCook; stepmom Maria Tinsley; stepdad Bernie Gamez Sr. ; His beloved faithful dog and his baby, Zuri Ray. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
