James "Jim" Edward Pritchett
November 16, 1948 - May 7, 2022

James “Jim” Edward Pritchett, 73, Lieutenant Colonel USAF (Ret), husband of Lee Ann McNair Pritchett, died Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia.

Born in El Paso, TX, he was the son of James A. Pritchett and Stella Elizabeth Bullard Pritchett.

Lt Col Pritchett was a member of Alice Drive Baptist Church and was retired from the U. S. Air Force.

Surviving are his wife along with his parents; one daughter, Anna Lynn Richardson (Rev. Dr. Condy Richardson); one son, James “Ray” Pritchett (Michelle Pritchett); two brothers, Kenneth Allen Pritchett (Sheryl Pritchett) and Roger Bruce Pritchett (Toni Pritchett); one sister, Janis Joy Garrett; seven grandchildren, Ruthie Richardson, Condy Richardson, Jr., Claire Pritchett, Madalynn Pritchett, Rebecca Richardson, Lauren Pritchett, and James “Davis” Pritchett.

Preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Greg Garrett, and sister-in-law, Diane Pritchett.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday in the Chapel of the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Condy Richardson and Rev. Dr. Clay Smith officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. Wednesday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery with full military honors.

Memorials may be made to Alice Drive Baptist Church, 1305 Loring Mill Road, Sumter, SC 29150.
