Jessica Lynn Villarreal

March 22, 1953 – September 21, 2021

Jessica Lynn Villarreal, San Antonio, Texas and Texas A&M University Class of 1978, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. She was born in Houston, Texas on March 22, 1953 to Josias Olivares Villarreal ‘51 and Rebecca. She is survived by her son Joshua Villarreal, his wife Mariah and their son Elijah; her brother Josias Owen Villarreal and wife Deanna ‘97; her brother Donald Jay Villarreal ‘79 and wife Norma. She also leaves behind nephews Donald Jay Villarreal and wife Athena, and her great-nieces Brooklyn and Naomi; Michael Villarreal ‘10 and husband Jorge; and Jacob Villarreal ‘16 and his wife Carla ‘14.

Jessica graduated from Texas A & M with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and served in various roles in Civil Service positions at Ft. Sam Houston, Randolph Brooks AFB and Joint Base San Antonio. She broke many barriers in a predominantly male profession. Her love for math served her well in her own education, career and helping others to overcome their math anxiety. She love to sew, cook and bake. She was a member of Grace Baptist Temple serving the Lord and His people. But her greatest love was spending time with her son and his family. She was overjoyed with her grandson Elijah. She will be greatly missed by all those that loved her.

A visitation for Jessica will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Grace Baptist Temple, 9103 Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, TX 78240. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM, 9103 Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, TX 78240. A committal service will occur Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 12:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218.
