David Wesley Kerr
August 5, 1992 - November 23, 2021

David Wesley Kerr passed away on November 23, 2021. He was 29 years old.

Wesley was best known for his big heart, servant leadership and epic story telling. No matter how difficult or messy a job, Wesley was the first to lend his strength. As a Christian, his desire to serve and protect others inspired everyone he met. Stranger or friend, he was ready to help.

Wesley’s quick wit and creative mind made him the entertainer at family gatherings and parties. His sense of humor in storytelling always filled the room with laughter and smiles.

More than anything in this world, Wesley loved his wife, Brittani. They were high school sweethearts, and both were huge Texas A&M fans. The love and friendship in their marriage was apparent to all who met them.

Wesley was born and raised in Katy, Texas. He graduated from James E. Taylor High School in 2011 and attended Texas A&M University where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets in Squadron 17.

He married Brittani Shasta Kobold Kerr on June 11, 2017, in College Station, Texas.

He is survived by wife, Brittani Kerr '15, parents, David and Bobbie Kerr, in-laws, Richard and Lucinda Kobold, grandparent, Judy Benson, siblings, Sarah {Chad} Herold, Lara '12 {Jeff} Karr, Philip Kerr '18, Kara {Joe} Lindsey, Luke Kerr, JR Kerr and Hunter Kobold, niece and nephew, Kyla Belle and Cason and a large family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His family says the best way to describe Wes is as a big bear: he was strong, courageous, and protective of all the people he loved-- and he was great at giving bear hugs.

We will gather on Friday, December 3rd @2pm
at Second Baptist Church - West Campus.
19449 Katy Freeway
Houston, Texas 77094

Some of our happiest memories of Wes include Columbia fishing shirts and Hawaiian shirts. In honor of his “fashion sense”, please sport his favorite outfit on Friday.
