Reeecaalll. Step Off on Hullabalooooo! resonances through Kyle Field from a wide-mouth Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band Drum Major. His mace is raised. A blast pierces from his whistle. Reagan then marches the noble men through a commanding halftime performance. It is those times and his band mates he cherishes most as they become his foundation and creates the pier of his enduring friendships.

Reagan began his journey in Ardmore, OK in 1935 and transitioned to Dallas not long after. It was a school bus ride where he met his lifelong partner and cherished wife – Shirley. She and their two accomplished son’s Wes '86 and Andrew continue to pilot themselves by his examples and illustrations on being a better person. Reagan began his Last Corps Trip after a long battle with an illness on October 21.

Reagan graduated from Texas A&M in 1959 with a Bachelors of Architecture and soon traded his mace for a pencil and Kyle Field for a drafting board as he began his architectural career after completing his service as an US Army Captain. His architectural career in New York and Dallas is structured by developing and supporting his enclave of long-standing friendships and mentoring colleagues while delivering on his client’s imaginations. He prided himself in always giving back to those who supported him and with service to the AIA.

Reagan and Shirley transitioned from an established life and career in Dallas to their retirement home he designed in Willow City outside of Fredericksburg in 1998. His life as an architect was re-engineered to creating homes for old and new friends. His appreciation and support of the Willow City Volunteer Fire and Rescue expanded his base even more.

Family, friends, colleagues and clients don’t think about the awards, recognition, buildings or homes he designed, but how their lives are richer just knowing Reagan George.
