Kevin Henson McIntosh
September 5, 1963 - October 9, 2021

Kevin Henson McIntosh, 58, took his last ride on October 9, 2021, in Flower Mound, Texas. He was born September 5, 1963, to Thomas and Jean McIntosh in Palo Alto, California.

He began his education in Holland. After three years in Dutch schools, the family returned to Houston where he ultimately graduated from Memorial High School. At Memorial, he competed in track and field, played basketball, and started a rock band. He held the district record for long jump for three years. A devoted Aggie, he graduated from Texas A&M University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. He started his career in clothing manufacturing with Haggar in Dallas and then moved to the San Francisco Bay area where he worked for apparel retail companies and made the transition to information technology. His career led him to Chico’s in Fort Myers, Florida, and it was there that Kevin met Kim and found his love, his partner in life. The road led them back to Houston where he was an IT executive.

It was his family that filled his heart with joy. He adored Kim and she him. They were devoted to each other. He was especially proud of his children whom he loved, always sharing their accomplishments and spending time with them. They all inherited his love of sports and athleticism, as well as his competitive spirit.

Kevin had a love for mountain biking, snow skiing, the Houston Astros, Texas A&M football and travel. Kevin and Kim’s travel adventures began with their wedding in Napa Valley, California. Some of their favorite destinations were Alaska, Hawaii, Bordeaux, Paris, Rome, Barcelona, and Las Vegas. Kevin, Kim and Mason recently moved to Highland Village in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and he was enjoying all the new bike trails.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Garland and Doris McIntosh and Truman and Audrey McDougald.

He is survived by his wife, Kim; his children, Nicole, Jacob, Isabella, and Mason; his parents, Thomas and Jean McIntosh; his sister and brother-in-law, Karen '87 and Scott Stubblefield; and his sister-in-law, Andrea Myers.

Also left to cherish his memory are his first cousin and wife, Mike '70 and Wanda Granberry; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Allen Glass and Susan Glass; his niece and nephews, Ryon Stubblefield, Mallory Myers, and Jaxson Myers; second cousins Matt '07 and Leslie Granberry and Marc Granberry; and his beloved Aussiedoodle, Hannah.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 15th, at Grace Presbyterian Church at 10221 Ella Lee Ln Houston, TX 77042, followed by a reception at Royal Oaks Country Club. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.
