Eric Jay Mulligan
November 4, 1965 - September 26, 2021

Eric Jay Mulligan (55) of Austin, Texas, peacefully passed away in his home on Sunday September 26, 2021 surrounded by loved ones after a difficult battle with cancer.

Eric was born on November 4, 1965 to Kristiane Elisabeth and John Joseph Mulligan in Houston, Texas. After graduating from Aldine High School in 1984 he earned a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Finance at Texas A&M University in 1989. After graduation, he worked in the software industry for over 30 years at IT Corporation, The Shaw Group, and most recently Tangoe.

In 1993, Eric swept Kirsten Wilkins off her feet dancing across the floor of Dallas Night Club in Austin,Texas. Eric and Kirsten went on to have 2 children, Brian and Lauren. When Eric was not working in his backyard, he was snow skiing with his son, hiking with his daughter, napping in the hammock at Lake LBJ--but mostly rooting for the Fightin’ Texas Aggies football team.

Eric was predeceased by his father “Jay” in 1991.

He is survived by his wife, Kirsten; children Brian and Lauren; mother Kris; sister Cathy Kothlow and her husband Clark, sister Michelle Irving, and brother David Mulligan and his wife Leah; along with so many more nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and in-laws.

A prayer service and celebration of life will be held on the shores of Lake Travis at 17007 South Ridge Lane, Austin, Texas 78734 on Saturday, October 23 at 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. If you plan to celebrate with friends and family, please RSVP at https://everloved.com/life-of/eric-mulligan/
