Foster Gray, father, husband, brother, friend, completed his life journey the day after his 90th birthday. Foster's life accomplishments included raising a family, excelling in industry, and devoting 46 years to Anderson Mill Baptist Church in Austin, Texas.

Foster was preceded in death by his brother Gilman Gray and sister Lady Jane Rushing-Gromlovits and is survived by his wife Helen Andrews Gray of 24 years, three children Roger '79 (Jan) Gray of Round Rock, David (Pixie) Gray of Round Rock, and Kevin (Jill) Gray of Paragould AR., and two stepsons, Jim (JoAnna) Andrews of Cedar Park and Tim (Gean) Andrews of Georgetown, TX.

Foster was true to his faith his entire life, serving the Lord in multiple ways, including becoming one of the founding members of the Anderson Mill Baptist Church in Austin, Texas, in 1973. Foster opened his home to church services, spending hours each week to ensure the new congregation could worship, sing, and fellowship together. Foster helped design and build the first AMBC sanctuary to meet the neighborhoods' thirst for Christ. Foster actively participated in church services and church growth for over 40 years, working with fellow church members to build a larger church sanctuary, a two-story education center, teaching Sunday School, and serving as a Deacon.

Foster was an enthusiastic Aggie, having graduated from Texas A&M in 1953 with a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering and from Purdue University in 1955 with an MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Foster moved from Dallas, Texas, to Austin, Texas in 1973 to build the Austin, Texas Instruments' Printed Wiring Board shop. Texas Instruments elected Foster as a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff at Texas Instruments Inc. in 1996, culminating a career spanning 41 years with eight patents, 27 technical publications, and four published papers.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 11, 2021 at Anderson Mill Baptist Church, 10633 Lake Creek Parkway, from 1 pm to 2 pm with the Funeral Service beginning at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to one of the many Texas A&M donation opportunities (https://www.txamfoundation.com/give.aspx). Foster was a lifelong Aggie and supported A&M with all his heart.
