John Stockwell Samuels, III
September 15, 1933 - October, 2019
John Stockwell Samuels, was born on September 15, 1933 in Galveston, Texas and was the son of John Stockwell and Helen Yvonne (Poole) S. and he passed away at 89 years old in Dubai in October of 2019.
John was a Sunday School kid here at Eaton Hall. He was an active “churchman” in various parishes around the world.
He attended Texas A&M University and graduated with his Bachelors in Economics in 1954. He received his Master of Science in Economics from Texas A&M as well. He then attended Harvard University and received his Juris Doctor in 1960.
He was an Associate with Chadbourne, Parke, Whiteside & Wolff in New York City from 1960-1973. He was President of International Carbon & Minerals in New York City from 1973-1978, and President of Carbomin Group, Inc. in New York City since 1978. He was the Chairman of the Board for United Energy Ltd. in Manama, Bahrain, 1987-1993, President of the United States Reduction Inc. since 1996, and Chairman of the Board of the J.S. Samuels & Company.
He is survived by his children Evelyn Kathleen Welch, John Stockwell, Ainlay L. Dixon, Peter Ashton Hayes.
His family and friends, while spread out in many different parts of the world, were able to gather for a proper memorial. He was buried from Trinity on December 07, 2019.
