Donna Lynn Malmberg
April 27th, 1958 - June 18th, 2021

Donna Lynn Malmberg passed away on June 18th, 2021. Her ashes will be scattered at an undisclosed location in the Colorado mountains and a Memorial service will be held for her at 4:00 PM, July 15th, 2021 at the Denver Botanical Gardens.

Donna was born on April 27th, 1958 in Mobile, Alabama. She lived there as a small child until the late 60s when her parents moved to Fort Worth, Texas. She grew up in the Fort Worth area and attended Western Hills High School, graduating in 1977. Donna attended the University of Arlington where she obtained a degree in Accounting in 1980 and later attended Texas A&M University graduating in 1981 with a degree in Business Administration/Marketing.

She had an extensive career in the Oil and Gas accounting field where she worked for firms in Dallas, Austin, and later Denver, most recently at DCP Midstream and MarkWest Energy Partners. Donna loved the outdoors and was a very active person who enjoyed cycling, hiking, cross-country skiing and scuba diving.

In 2009, Donna was introduced to her husband John while on a trip to Aspen, Colorado. They developed a strong relationship and in 2011, she moved to Colorado so that they could be together. Donna and John were inseparable in their lives together, enjoying hiking in the Colorado mountains, bird watching, wildlife photography, and sampling the cuisine of the area. On July 6th, 2017 they married in Beaver Creek, Colorado and lived together in their townhome in Broomfield, Colorado, using it as a home base for many great trips together including South Africa, Yellowstone, the Eastern USA, Norway, Iceland, France and England.

Donna is survived by her husband, John Maxwell Salisbury, step-daughter Lauren de Wet (Wouter), step-son John Salisbury Jr. (Eleanor), granddaughter Leja de Wet; brothers John Malmberg (Karen) and Richard Malmberg (Kelli), nephew Carson Malmberg, niece Addison Malmberg, cat Jimmy, and many great friends across Texas and Colorado.

Donna was pre-deceased by her parents Betty Fay and John Robert Malmberg.
