David Alan LaRue
October 20, 1954 - July 28th 2020
David Alan LaRue passed peacefully on July 28th 2020 at the age of 65. David survived by his wife of 39 years, Diana; his mother, Margaret; brother, George; children, Lynn, Kristen, John, and Richard.
David is preceded in death by his father George, Sr.
David graduated from Texas A&M in 1977 with a degree in Wildlife & Fisheries Sciences. He married his college sweetheart Diana in 1980. While living in Jasper, David worked for the US Army Corps of Engineers as a Ranger, Lead, and Manager.
Over the years the couple welcomed for children and set about teaching them to love God and others. His children remember him as a devoted father who encouraged them to pursue their dreams . David was accomplished at researching, teaching small groups, life skills, coaching baseball, and dry humor. David was a generous individual who is passionate about helping others. He was a dedicated member of this local church had often volunteered with various programs. He lived God with all his heart, mind, soul, and actions.
