Frank S. Haines Jr.
July 04, 1924 - April 01, 2021
Frank S. Haines, Jr. was born on July 4, 1924 in San Antonio, TX, and passed away April 1, 2021.
He enrolled at Texas A&M in the Fall of 1941 and was a part of the “A” Battery Coast Artillery. He left Texas A&M in May of 1943 to serve in World War II as a Second Lieutenant Infantry Unit Commander. He returned to Texas A&M in the Spring of 1948 and graduated
with Bachelor of Science degrees in Petroleum Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
He worked for Texaco for 38 years and retired as Manager of Technical Training. He married Laetitia Francis Cofer on April 2, 1949. Frank and Tish enjoyed 72 years of marriage and together they had three children, Mark, Ann and David. They also enjoyed spending
time with their seven grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Frank helped organize several new Presbyterian churches throughout his life and was a faithful church member. He enjoyed volunteering, playing golf, hiking in the mountains and reading.
His youngest son David F. Haines was a 1977 graduate of Texas A&M
His grandson Chris D. Haines was a 2005 graduate of Texas A&M
His granddaughter Jacque T. Haines was a 2007 graduate of Texas A&M
