April 25, 1967 ~ February 21, 2021 (age 53)

Bruce Edmonds Caraway, an incredible husband, father, and man of God, passed away peacefully at noon on February 21, 2021 after a short battle with brain cancer. Bruce went to be with the Lord at the age of 53.

A celebration of life will be held at the Graham Street Church of Christ, 312 N Graham St, Stephenville, TX 76401 on Saturday, February 27, at 11 a.m. The family will arrive at 10 a.m. for a brief visitation period. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Basic Needs at Graham Street Church of Christ or grahamstreetchurch.com.

Bruce was born in Wharton, Texas on April 25, 1967. He graduated from Wharton High School in 1985 and went on to earn his bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering in 1990, and his masters degree in 1992 at Texas A&M University. It was at Texas A&M that he met the love of his life, Sherri. Bruce worked as a software developer, college professor, and website designer . Bruce was a Deacon at Graham Street Church of Christ and a former Elder of North Woodlands Area Church of Christ. He lived his life as a servant to the Lord, caring for others by volunteering for the Basic Needs program in Stephenville, doing mission work in Puerto Rico, and using his talent with technology to bless the church.

He enjoyed listening to podcasts, building websites, tending to needs on his farm property, watching Aggie football, and most importantly, spending time with his wife and kids. He will be remembered for his unfailing kindness, bountiful generosity, and his steadfast love for God.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Sherri Annette Caraway. They were married in Frankston, Texas on January 4, 1992. Bruce is lovingly remembered by his son Avery Robert Caraway and daughter Lauren Sandra Caraway, and his daughter-in-law Emily Caraway.

Bruce is also survived by his parents of Wharton, Texas, Dr. Robert Bruce Caraway, Jr. and Marian Annette Caraway, his brother Brett Caraway and wife Kylie, and cousin Carole Caraway.

Bruce was preceded in death by his sister Sandra Lynn “Sandy” Caraway Roberts.
