June 11, 1955 - November 28, 2020

Greg Vornkahl, age 65, of Sealy, Austin County, Texas, passed away November 28, 2020 in Nashville, Tennessee. A visitation will take place at Redland Baptist Church, Centerville, Texas on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. followed by a memorial service at 2 P.M.

Gregory Wayne Vornkahl was born June 11, 1955 in Port Arthur, Texas to Henry Lee & Barbara (Lauhoff) Vornkahl. He attended Texas A & M University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree and owned a tour bus service in Nashville.

Greg is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Marilyn Wall Vornkahl of Sealy; sons, Henry Wall Vornkahl and Travis Wall Vornkahl (fiancée, Elisa Bentson); brother, Mark Henry (Karen) Vornkahl of Baton Rouge, LA; sister, Susan Vornkahl (Hilliard “Hilly”) Paige of Thousand Oaks, CA; aunts, Pat Vornkahl of Sealy, Rita Lauhoff Davis of Houston and Carol Lauhoff of Houston; nephews, Michael Henry (Leslie) Vornkahl, Hilly Paige, III and Ryan Paige; niece, Jennifer Vornkahl (Ferris) Haddad; brothers-in-law, Benny Wall of Redland and Lowell (Nancy) Wall of Redland; sister-in-law, Kathaleen Wall (Holloway “Holly”) Frost and a host of precious great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

****Directions to Redland Baptist Church from Centerville, Texas: Take SH 7-West toward Marquez, Texas approximately 4.6 miles. Redland Baptist Church will be on the right side of the road before you reach county road 321. If you reach SH-39 running north and south, you have travelled too far.
