November 6, 2002 - January 28, 2021

Wesley Jerome Mallernee of Conroe, 18 passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 28, 2021 in his dorm at Texas A&M Galveston.

He leaves behind his mother, Candace Mallernee; his sister, Calya Berlin; his Papa, Ronald Mallernee; his Mim, Rena Mallernee; his dog, Onyx; His godfather and Uncle, Ron and his wife, Cassidy; his Aunt, Jenn and her wife, Sherry; his godmother and Aunt, Dee her husband, John and their two boys Jensen and Paxton; his cousins, Samara, Charlotte, Kaleb, Ryelyn and Logan, several great Aunts and great Uncles; and many friends.

He was predeceased by his Pappy, Scott Berlin. He leaves behind his dad, VIncent Berlin; his Grandfather, Jim Gritz; his Nanny, Colleen Gritz; his Aunt, Stephanie, his Uncles, Justin and Doug Gritz, his Great Uncle, Bebe and his Great Nanny, Pauline Berlin.

Born November 6th, 2002 in Burlington, Vermont the son of Candace Mallernee, he grew up in Peru, NY; Lock Haven, PA; and Keeseville, NY before moving to Conroe, TX in 2015. He graduated from Willis High School in 2020 and was currently attending Texas A&M Galevston where he was studying Marine Biology.

As a young child Wesley loved dinosaurs and swimming. As he grew he loved to build with legos and display them. As a young man, he enjoyed playing video games with his sister, Calya or his best friend, Daniel. He liked to collect knives. He loved to draw and was amazing at it. He loved to read, learn about mythology and religions. He loved puns and memes. He enjoyed cosmic horror and listening to horror podcasts. He had a passion for all the things he loved and he shared that passion and knowledge with everyone around him. He is very loved and will forever be remembered as a loving, smart and funny young man.

Arrangements are being handled by McNutt Funeral Home. Flowers may be sent to his family at their home address. Donations may made in his memory to Marine Conservation Institute. (marine-conservation.org)
