Travis Ryan Wedeking
July 02, 1987 - January 13, 2021

On June 2nd 1987 God gave us Travis Ryan Wedeking. This precious child he gave us grew into an extraordinary son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle and friend. Little did we know that he was only loaning us Travis for 33 years. God would want him back on January 13th 2021.

Travis graduated from Waller High School in 2006 and went on to obtain his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas. He would continue his academic career at Texas A&M University receiving his Master’s Degree in Education.

Travis enjoyed horticulture, reading, cooking and binge-watching drama television series with his mother. Travis loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. The loss of Travis will be felt infinitely to family and friends who loved and cherished him.

From your Mother: You are more than a son, you are a confidant, shopping buddy and most importantly my best friend.

From your Father: You are my 70’s rock music guru, my chef, the caretaker of my mother, my liberal in a house full of conservatives, a son and a friend. Like each of my sons you are the best part of me.

From Dwayne and Kim: You are our amazing little brother that has remarkable accomplishments and had a future with boundless possibilities. We could always depend on you to lend a helping hand when we needed it.

From Justin and Melissa: You are our sweet baby brother that grew into a spectacular man that was an outstanding uncle to your nieces and nephews.

From Tanner: You are more than just my brother; you were a friend, a teacher and an inspiration. There will never be a person as loving, compassionate and true as Travis Ryan Wedeking. I don’t believe in goodbyes because goodbyes are forever. I’ll see you when I see you.

From Abby, Lucas, Bella and Dixie: He was a cherished uncle whom they were always overjoyed to see and whom they loved very much. He was Abby’s coloring buddy and Minecraft guru. For Lucas he was the firm hand at Nanna’s and Papa’s. For Bella, Travis was of the opinion that nothing could hold her back and she would accomplish great things in life. For Dixie, he was the uncle she fell in love with the moment she met him and was showered with hugs and kisses.

Travis is preceded in death by his grandmother, Genevieve (Granny) Hosmer; grandfather, Archie Lee Hosmer; grandfather, Douglas Wedeking and aunt, Sybil Adams. He is survived by his father and mother, Larry and Carolyn Wedeking; grandmother, Betty Wedeking; brothers, Dwayne Wedeking and wife Kimberly, Justin Wedeking and wife Melissa, Tanner Wedeking; nieces and nephews, Reagan, Abby, Evan, Lucas, Bella, Dixie;  an uncle Thomas ('81) and wife Cynthia ('82).
