Sanford Dale Smith, 75, of Atascocita, died December 6, 2020 in Humble, TX.

Dale was born in Denton, TX to Thurman and Millery Smith. He honorably served his country in the army and proudly attended Texas A&M. He thoroughly enjoyed retirement in 2005 from a cushy job at Wix after 30 years in sales. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, playing golf and spending time with his friends. He also loved riding his Harley & enjoyed being part of the Outcasts MC. Dale was a lifetime committee man of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Colleen, his son Nathan of New Caney, 2 sisters, Barbara Castleberry of Katy and JoAnn Willingham of Denton, 7 grandchildren, Mathew, Peyton, Paige, Jack, Kayden, Abby, Kennedy, 1 great-grandchild, Haezley and 4 nieces.

His biggest heartbreak was losing his daughter, Natalie, in 2014 to cancer and granddaughter, Megan in 2020. He was also predeceased by his parents and brother Raymond.

Most of all, what he is leaving behind is lots and lots of friends because everyone loved Dale.

A very special thank you to Heather Hammel for your kindness and guidance.

Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association or charity of your choice.

A celebration of life will be 11:00 December 19 at Timeout Tavern.
