Charles Myers '69 December 17, 2020 4:30 PM updated: December 17, 2020 4:42 PM

Charles Wayne Myers
September 27, 1942 - December 5, 2020

Charles went to be with his heavenly Father and his Lord Jesus Christ on December 5, 2020.

Charles grew up in Seagoville, Texas where he graduated from high school. He then attended Henderson County Junior College and Texas A&M University where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Marketing in 1969. He served his country in the U.S. Army, and was stationed in Würzburg, Germany during the Vietnam Era.

Charles' main profession was in sales. He retired from Snap-On Tools in June of 2005.

Charles married Sandra Meeks from Mansfield, Texas on March 22, 1969. They had four sons, who have been a great blessing to their lives.

Charles was active in his church until his passing, serving passionately as a deacon and a choir member. He was an avid visitor to both church members and others when they were in the hospital, which brought him much joy. Charles also loved distributing the Word of God through The Gideons International where he served in several capacities for that organization. For a time after his retirement, he served as a chaplain at DFW Airport ministering to servicemen as they deployed for duty in the Middle East.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents R C and Annie Myers. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Myers, four sons Stephen (Mindy), Stuart (Carrie), Timothy, and Derek (Brandy). He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren, Hailey (Chris), Hannah, Abby, Kayley, Aidan, Bethany, Katelyn, and Brooklyn Myers; brother Delynn Myers (Gloria); sister Jean LeMonds; and sister Reta Holland (Fred).
