ANTHONY PETER MAZZACCARO
August, 1943 - October 19, 2020
Dr. Mazzaccaro was born in August of 1943. He received his B.S. at the University of Maryland, College Park in 1968. He then attended Texas A&M University for his M.S. in Recreation & Resource Development which he received in 1974. He also received his doctorate
degree in Recreation & Resource Development from Texas A&M in 1980.
He was professionally affiliated with over 13 organizations from 1985-2020. He wrote scientific publications that were published. Additionally, he was an accomplished person in the field of marine and natural resources as well as aquaculture. He worked in aquaculture
over the years from TEAS in Texas, working as a lecturer and professor with the University of Maryland, the USDA, and his own business Hyrock Aquaculture Farm, Inc..
His honors and awards include: Epsilon Sigma Phi, National Extension Honor, Society, Phi Sigma Society, National Biological Sciences Honor Society, Gamma Sigma Delta, National Agricultural Honor Society, Graduate Merit Fellowship, Graduate College, Texas A&M
University, Certificate of Appreciation, City of Havre de Grace, MD.
He was a resident of Princess Anne, MD at the time.
He was predeceased by his wife Linda L. Mazzaccaro in March of this year. He is survived by his brother-in-law Richard Sciascia and sister-in-law Sandy Squire.
