Walter Harry Talbot
December 18, 1925 - October 8, 2020

Walter Harry Talbot, 94, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 in Granbury.
He was born December 18, 1925 in San Benito, TX. to Tully and Eunice Durrett Talbot.

He retired from Swift & Co. and Neuhoff as well as retiring as a Lt. Col. in the Army. He fought in WWII as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division and served proudly as a member of Eisenhower's Honor Guard. He graduated with the Class of '47 at Texas A&M and a prouder Aggie you could never find. He married Helen Fielder April 23, 1949 and she preceded him in death October 10, 2002. He was an avid golfer and loved playing Gin with his friends. He and Helen lived in Ft. Worth for many years before moving to Hurst and then making one final move to Granbury to be near their daughter and granddaughters, where they were members of Acton United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Pat Butler & husband Ray, granddaughter, Kelly Dobbs & Justin, granddaughter, Michelle Taylor & Brandon, great grandchildren, Allyson, Audry & Dylan Dobbs, Wyatt & Emma Taylor and numerous close friends he considered family. Special thanks and love to his care givers to the end, Mary Simcho, Julie Welsch & De De Thornton.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date at the National Cemetery in Grand Prairie. Donations in his memory may be made to the Methodist Children's Home.
