Dr. Kamal Uddin Hyder '69
July 17, 1941 - September 2, 2020

Dr. Kamal Uddin Hyder, 79, Food Technologist and Engineer, passed away in Lakeland, FL on September 2, 2020. He was born on July 17, 1941 in Calcutta, India. Dr. Hyder He received both his Masters (1969) and his Doctorate (1972) in Food Technology with the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences from Texas A&M University.

Dr. Hyder was a resident of College View Apartments at his time during Texas A&M University and he was a member of the Pakistani Students Association.

Dr. Hyder was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed by so many people around the world who remember his genuine spirit to converse about global affairs, agricultural development initiatives, and travel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Kiva in memory of Dr. Hyder.

He is survived by his 6 children: Farial, Razi, Omar, Rehan, Rehnuma, and Sophia.
